Beauty is all grown up! She loves to ride along
in the car (she would like to drive the car if she could!),
going for walks and trotting next to my bike. This spring I got
a second bike, an electric trike equipped with a rear basket
perfect for holding her carrier so she can ride along on my
adventures as well ... she loves to zoom, zoom, zoom! Just wish
she would leave the squirrels and rabbits alone though ... she
would love to hunt them down if I let her (hunting dna)!
Gardening is another one of my passions,
especially flowers. Here is a sampling of my beautiful blooming
Anthurium and Hibiscus Plants. I started out with two Anthurium
plants and one Hibiscus plant and managed to raise my number to
six anthurium plants (babies) and five Hibiscus plants
(cuttings) when I did my spring repotting. I love the
vibrant red shades of these plants and would recommend them to
anyone wanting to add a splash of color and joy to your home!
Summer Fruit Desert Recipe
While filtering through my recipe box I found this old recipe,
that I had acquired years ago as a teenager working at a kids'
summer day camp at Rock Lake. I instantly remembered how much I
had enjoyed this treat that summer and decided I had to make it
before this summer was over so here it is! Thought I would share
...
*1 pkg instant vanilla pudding, 1 1/2 cups of water, 2 small
pkgs whipping cream, 4 cups fruit (strawberries etc), 1 pound or
angel food cake (cubed), 1 can eagle brand milk
* Mix can of eagle brand milk and water. Add pudding and blend
well. Let chill and set.
* Whip 2 whipping cream. Fold whipping cream into pudding.
* In large glass bowl, layer pudding - cake - fruit - pudding -
cake - fruit. End with pudding and decorate with fruit.
Let set for 4 hours. Enjoy!
Black Beauty ... was quite the fall/winter 2023/2024
project but well worth the effort and time! What a lot of fun
and joy she brings to everyone she meets so adorable! Her
intelligence and kindness are amazing, almost human you could
say! I feel so blessed, just had to share!
Here is the first video we saw of her as a young
puppy sent to us by her breeder ... at that very
moment we saw the video, we decided to adopt her, as
without a doubt, it was Love at first sight! She was
a kind, gentle soul and loved people immensely,
especially children. She is terribly missed!

Maine Coon Cats are known as "The Gentle
Giants of the Cat World!", "The Dogs in a Cat Suit!"
As dedicated, long time Registered Maine Coon Cat breeders, we
follow the breed standards set out by the major registering
bodies in the cat fancy. Our emphasis is on producing cats of
excellent type with feral look, silky non-matting coats, giant
size and loving, super sweet temperaments. The Maine Coon's
gentle, kind nature make them a wonderful breed for first time
cat owners, those that cannot have a dog, families with
children, the elderly, people with disabilities, those suffering
from PTSD and for those that have had bad experiences with cats,
which has made them afraid of cats in general. The Maine Coon
breed produces fairly consistently with regards to structure,
type and temperament (sweet temperament, high intelligence).
This genetic predictability makes the Maine Coon an excellent
choice for various types of families and makes them highly
amenable to training (tricks, walking on a leash, responding to
commands). A brisk combing once a week is all that is required
to maintain their beautiful, semi-long silky coat.
Their intelligence is incredible and they have been nick-named
"The Cat For Dog Lovers" as it is not unusual for people to
teach them to play fetch and to respond to commands such as sit
or lay down. This rugged, hardy breed with silky weatherproof
overcoat and slight insulating undercoat, paw and ear tufting,
allows them to feel comfortable both indoors and outdoors (in
all weather conditions) which is a real plus for those that want
their cats to spend some time in outdoor enclosures and/or enjoy
bringing them along for a walk on a harness year round ... truly
a cat for all reasons and seasons! Also, like the "icing on the
cake" Maine Coon Cats come in a beautiful array of colors and
patterns as well as unique color combinations! The Maine Coon
